So 2015 is going to be a big year for movies. We’ve focused on movie that we’re definitely going to geek out over when they come out. Below we’re each going to explain why we’re so excited about some of these movies, as well as a list of all the movies that we’re going to freak out about when they get released.
Sarah’s Geek Out
Ok so I likely won’t get to see any of these movies till they come out on blu-ray, having a newborn makes it impossible to go out to movies. That being said, it doesn’t mean I can’t be excited for them anyways. A bunch of these are sequels or follow ups to movies I saw before my son was born, or were the last movies I saw while I was pregnant with my son, so they have some extra sentimental value outside of being completely awesome. Pretty much anything that has to do with a comic book is huge in my books. Comics and such are a big part of my family’s life, so anything related to them become a focal point of interest in my house. Then there’s also the movies that go back to my childhood (Terminator, Jurassic Park, Star Wars) so I’ve seen everything related to those stories, so bringing them back with the new follow-ups is super exciting. Then we have the sequels to new movies that I love (Pitch Perfect 2) and can watch over and over again. The ones that I think I’m most excited for though are the adorable ones (Minions and The Peanuts Movie) not only do they appeal to adults because they’re funny and cute and we can reminisce over them, but they’re movies I can watch with my kids, and that’s really what I focus on now that I’m a mom, I’d rather go to a crazy animated movie with my son than sit through a 2 hour action flick.
Bonnie’s Geek Out
I know I am a geek, I have been to 10 or more comic con’s within Canada, and have the autograph collection to prove it. I am super excited for quite a few of these, some… I could take it or leave it to be honest, but as a self proclaimed geek, I am going to have to see most of these.
My BF and I are also a fan of animated movies, so the Minion movie is something were both as excited about as the Avengers: Age of Ultron.
My friends and I have quite a few dates planned for this summer, to go and see a bunch of these. The most prominent one for Pitch Perfect 2, with a bunch of my girlfriends. We actually all saw the original on a whim, and now we all can’t wait for the sequel. Of course some of these are slated for fall of 2015, but that will not keep us from going to the theaters. It just gives us something to look forward to as the weather gets colder.
